Read the Greek New Testament

This Web Site contains notes designed to encourage those who want to read through the Greek New Testament. The notes are arranged for daily reading covering 5 years (1250 days of notes designed for five days a week and 50 weeks a year).  You can download them either as 250 sets of weekly notes in Word (generally Word 2000) format (and some now in PDF), or as whole New Testament books in PDF format.  You need to be aware that some of the PDF files are quite large (as large as 2 Mb).

The notes are designed for those who have an elementary knowledge of New Testament Greek. Help is provided with grammar and vocabulary and with comprehension and interpretation of the text.

Use of the notes in the weekly Word format requires installation of a Greek font, produced by Galaxie Software which is freely available as Shareware.  For further information about obtaining this font (and a similar Hebrew font used occasionally in the notes) see under Introduction/Greek Fonts in the menu above.  The PDF files should not require any special fonts.  They use a set of Unicode fonts from SIL which are embedded in the PDF file.  The PDF files however, do require Adobe's Acrobat 5.0 (or later) reader to be installed on your computer. To download the free Acrobat reader go to the site indicated in the image below:

If you have installed the Galaxie fonts, the following will appear in Greek:

jEn ajrch'/ h\n oJ lovgo", kaiV oJ lovgo" h\n proV" toVn qeovn, kaiV qeoV" h\n oJ lovgo".
